Karmina Dai is a corporate professional by day, an entertainment diva by night (lol), Ms. Karmina Dai gracefully captivates her audience with the gift of song and stage presence and having had years of both live performance and recording studio experience, it has afforded Ms.Dai a world of opportunity with regard to staying connected/networking with her fellow band/music industry colleagues. Now Karmina is grooving into the future with the one and only Soul Groove Band and together, they are taking music back to where it was birthed... "In the groove"
Nina Lewis is a long time resident of Westwood, New Jersey. She came from a family of traditional acapella southern gospel singers. It was not uncommon for the family at gatherings to break out in song with everyone just grabbing a part and jumping in to sing. She began at a very young age singing in the church choirs and very soon after was given the opportunity to direct all the choirs. Her soulful gospel style is evident in her voice with Soul Groove. In 2016 she relocated to the West coast in Arizona, and has become the lead vocalist for the Soul Groove West division.
“THE BACKBONE” Keith got his start with "The Milkmen”,a 60`s retro sounding band covering R.E.M, Dire Straits, and Beatle songs. Formed in 1988, Keith, his Brother Greg, and their long-time friends still perform today. Then came "Rock N A Hard Place”, formed from Milkmen Members and other friends from 1994-96. The band played more contemporary music of the "day". From 1996/1997,
Keith played in "No Frills (classic Rock) and "My Dog Petey". In 1998 he backed "Jerry El", an Elvis Impersonator and played in "Trac Down" a classic rock trio. In 1999 came "Jukebox Memories”. The band played the best of the "oldies” as well as Keith’s first love: Motown. Keith still does an occasional gig with Jukebox.
In 2003 he formed Soul Groove with his pal Mike Muro. Keith has also been a core member of the New Jersey band "The Kootz" since 2006, and is heavily influenced by Motown’s house bassist and "Funk Brother” James Jamerson, Paul McCartney, Paul S Denman (Sade), Flea and anything else that has "groove".
